Uptown Designs: A Legacy of Handcrafted Elegance

Uptown Designs was born not in a boardroom, but from a deeply personal passion for the timeless elegance of distinct handmade jewelry. Our founder, Dorata, was born in Poland. She grew up in Connecticut, surrounded by strong Christian values and the cherished memory of the intricate, statement pieces worn by her grandmother—heirlooms that told stories and captured a legacy of style.

In 2009, inspired by this heritage and seeing a void in the market for such unique, beautifully crafted jewelry, Dorata set out to create her own. It all began as a dream fueled by beads, crystals, and some basic hand tools. Attendance at local art shows, tradeshows, and music festivals soon became a testament to the American dream. While working full-time, Dorata built Uptown Designs single-handedly, traveling the southeastern states with her tools and materials- setting up booths, and sharing her passion one customer at a time.

Every piece was, and still is, an extension of her vision: to bring that coveted  classic elegance, to the modern woman.

Our Craft

Today, while our reach has grown, our core philosophy remains the same. Dorata continues to lead a dedicated team of artisans, personally overseeing the design and selection of each piece. We specialize in unique, often one-of-a-kind jewelry that stands apart.

Our collection includes both custom, handmade creations born from Dorata's own hands and small-batch productions of our most beloved designs. We also believe in sustainable luxury, thoughtfully upcycling vintage items, to give timeless pieces a new life.
